Judah in front and Jojo in the back, FairWhat a busy fun weekend we had with our family and dear friends. My mom and nephews are still here and we made our way up to the fair. We got our free tickets and let the boys get on a couple of rides. The twins had the most fun! They look so much alike but are so different at times. The didn't want to share the same seats on the rides. One would choose a different truck, whale, airplane and the other one would choose another one. So they never sat together on the rides. However, while the rides were in motion they would be shouting at each other talking in their language. It was sweet and hilarious at times.
Friday we went up to Escondido to our friends Darin and Duana Sargents home for a nice home cooked meal that my sweet mom cooked. She made Chili Verde, Rice and Beans. Homemade salsa too! The kids got to swim and we got to fellowship with the Sargents and other friends of the Sargents. Ezra met a Bro. Bumgartner, he is from Texas. Ezra and him hit if off. Ezra invited him to preach for us on Sunday.
Saturday we met our newlywed friends Trippe and Tara at Flemings and then went for putt putt afterwards! The dinner was delicious and the putt putt was fun! Trippe and Ezra work together and he manages our church web page. Tara is so sweet and a bakes awesome. She can make some delicious cheesecake that is out of this world. She is chemist. I wonder if that has anything to do with her wonderful cheeecake creations. Yummy!
Sunday we had awesome church with Bro. Bumgartner. He preached a tremendous message on Peace! The presence of the Lord was rich in the chapel. Thank you Bro. Bumgartner for ministering to us! After we grabbed a quick snack and headed to New Life Center, Andrew Buxton's church. Ezra preached a message on Souls for Sale and Bro. Dominquez from the metro church interpreted in Spanish. We had a great altar call and I believe one of the lady's received the Holy Ghost. After we went to Lido's Italian Restaurant for food and fellowship. We don't get to see Andrew and Shawnna as much as we like but we always enjoy their company. I met Andrew as a teenager and Shawnna later on, I believe after they got married. Andrew will always be a friend of mine and Shawnna is a wonderful lady and I consider her one of my best friends. She is always consistent and never changes. And by golly is so stinking skinny and thats even after having 5 children! Shawnna what is the secret!?! I think I figured it out though. Everyone eats your food! LOL! Shawnna and Andrew, thank you for your friendship! We love you and appreciate you both!
