Upper Room at Bonitafest 2008!

Image
Outreach.... more outreach... Almost done setting up.. Set up time! I am so thankful for the time we had at Bontiafest! We registered early this time and we were able to have a booth with hundreds of other vendors promoting their businesses. We met a lot of nice people and made some great contacts. We were placed in between the Border Patrol and the Democratic Party with a life size cardboard cut-out of Obama! We gave out 20 pounds of candy, 500 balloons, and 200 bottles of water! Also, the fliers we handed out said, "got holy ghost?" which were a big hit and allowed us to speak freely about precious gift the Lord has filled us with. It was awesome and couldn't of gone any better. Plus we had a BLAST! One thing I love is doing all I can to speak about the goodness of the Lord! The church got alot of exposure and hundreds of people came to the booth. Please pray for the fruit of our labors.

Polynesian Dancers at Seaport Village Art Walk -Jojo and Judah banging on drums. One of our favorite places to venture out to is Seaport Village. I would say we go at least once a week. We get to eat the good food and get free parking. The boys love the park area and we spend a couple of hours watching them climb and play in the grass. There is always something to see and tons of activities going on. This past Saturday the Art Walk exhibits were at Seaport. They had live music and tons of art. Since Ezra and I enjoy looking at art, we went by every exhibit. Neither one of us are Artist but admire the oil paintings done by the Artist. We have more oil paintings than we know what to do with. We didn't purchase any that day because all our wall space is filled up with our favorite paintings and we don't have space for anymore. Plus, the paintings were pricey. Ezra's grandma took up art for years as a hobby and she did very well. Everyone one of the Aune's has her artwork

Third grade!

Josh received this in the mail today from his third grade teacher, Mrs.Sachariason! She wrote a personalized note to him on the back of the post card. He lit up as he read the note. He said, that is so nice of her. I was touched by her thoughtfulness. He was very excited to have her as his teacher and he said, she is very pretty. Uh, oh could this be his first crush! We prayed that Josh would get a good teacher and we believe he did. Josh has been going to Vally Vista since Kindergarten and we really like the school. Yes, there has been a few hiccups but we've worked through them. One of his teacher's that he had in the past was wonderful. She was his first grade teacher and is a Christian and every time she would talk to him she would tell him what stories she was reading in the Bible. We really like Mrs. Brown and every time we see her she is warm and goes out of her way to talk with us about the Bible. I volunteer as much as possible and like to get involved with activitie

Sheaves for Christ helps foreign missionaries with donations raised by local churches with purchases sush as vehicles and bicycles to help spread the gospel. Presbyter Ghiloni said, the goal was met and then some! What a blast we had in Imperial Beach last night. The boys were invited up to sing a special with Presbyter Ghiloni and and few other children. I tried to sing a duet with Ezra but he wanted me to sing by myself. I was one of the last to sing and actually had a great time! The Lord was there and His presence was moving. I'm so glad we showed up because we were blessed to spend time with the family of God and we had some awesome fellowship! The Ghiloni's are wonderful people and we are so thankful that we ar

Rev. Raymond and Esther- 50th Wedding Anniversary!

Image
This past weekend we had the privilege of celebrating the renewal of wedding vows with our distant cousins. They celebrated 50 years of marriage together! What a testimony to the world. Yes, you can stay married to the same spouse for 50 years. What an accomplishment! The ceremony was beautiful and the vows they exchanged were from the heart and spontaneous! We laughed, cried, laughed and cried some more. Esther looked radiant and Raymond did as well. They both were glowing. You could see the love that they have for one another in the way they spoke to each other and stared into each other eyes. Raymond was giddy and danced a bit as he walked Esther down they aisle. He did it again after they exchanged vows and kissed. It was precious. She makes him weak in his knees still! It definitely was a happy time for all! The wedding party consisted of their grandchildren and "Endless Love" was was performed by their son Ray Jr. The reception was fabulous and the words of congratulati
