Yummy Chili Verde!

Chili Verde dinner EllaClaire Me & Shawnna Judah riding horse Josh, Nathaniel, Matthew Wow! We got to eat my favorite meal that my mom cooked for us again! Plus, we got to see Shawnna and Andrew too. The food was delicious and the fellowship was great. We laughed and laughed and shared some good old time stories. The kids enjoyed playing in the tree house and eating the delicious cherries after dinner. Everyone had a wonderful time. Mom, thanks for the food and Shawnna thanks for opening up your home to all of us! We need to do it more often. But knowing our schedules it will be months until we see each other again. ARGH!!! Yesterday we took the kiddos golfing at fun for all. The played a round of golf and played some video games afterwards. Joshua and the twins have really enjoyed having their cousins around. Dad came last night to pick up mom to take her back home and they decided to take all three boys back with them. My other brothers and sisters want to see the boys. I am

Weekend with family and friends

Shawnna, Mom, Andrew Bro. Dominguez and Ezra Bro. Bumgartner and Ezra Tara and Trippe Mom and Duana Carson and Nathaniel Judah in front and Jojo in the back, Fair What a busy fun weekend we had with our family and dear friends. My mom and nephews are still here and we made our way up to the fair. We got our free tickets and let the boys get on a couple of rides. The twins had the most fun! They look so much alike but are so different at times. The didn't want to share the same seats on the rides. One would choose a different truck, whale, airplane and the other one would choose another one. So they never sat together on the rides. However, while the rides were in motion they would be shouting at each other talking in their language. It was sweet and hilarious at times. Friday we went up to Escondido to our friends Darin and Duana Sargents home for a nice home cooked meal that my sweet mom cooked. She made Chili Verde, Rice and Beans. Homemade salsa too! The kids got to swim and

She Got it!

At our bible study at church on Wednesday night, Ezra taught on prayer and the necessity of it. It was a great lesson. Prayer is powerful and it works. Here is evidence that it does. I am here to say at a prayer meeting today a lady I met a while back received the Holy Ghost! Yes, prayer is definitely powerful! I met Giselle from one of my best friends, Lisa. She told me that Giselle was sweet and had a deep hunger from God. What Lisa said about Giselle was true. Yesterday, I received a call from Lisa asking if we could pray for Giselle. I checked with Sherry the lady that we rent the chapel from and asked if we could use it tonight for a prayer meeting. She said, yes. So today at 8pm, my mom, Lisa and I witnessed Giselle receive the Holy Ghost with evidence of speaking in other tongues. It was beautiful and Giselle was at a loss for words after her experience. You could see peace and she glowed in the Holy Ghost. It was SO AWESOME! We jumped, shouted, cried and thanked the Lord! WOW!

Audryana Gonzales, Gone but not forgotten...

Today my cousin and his wife won a million dollars in a wrongful death lawsuit. Their two year old daughter was run over by a bus driver operated by Fresno County Economic Opportunity Commission. The bus driver failed to comply with federal law requiring Head Start children to be dropped off on their side of the street. When they are not, a California law requires the bus driver to escort children in eighth grade or younger across the street. Due to the graphic scene of what happened on the day, I will not write in detail the events that took place. Just know it was a horrible tragedy. I don't think I'll ever understand why some people suffer more than others or why she had to die such a brutal death in the presence of her mother and little sister. That is something I pray I never have to experience. However, Audry is in heaven now and awating the reunion of her family when our precious Lord comes to take them home to be with her again. I know no money can ever replace their p

Cousins!

Josh is so HAPPY his cousins are here visiting from Sanger, CA. He was counting down the days until they arrived and now they're finally here. My mom is here too and I am so HAPPY! She will be sharing her time with Micheal my brother and then come down and stay with us the following week. We already have our menus ready for what we would like for her to cook for us while she is here. My mom makes the best Spanish rice and we love her Chili Verde. Can you guess what I want her to make for us? Hint! Hint! Not to sure what we will be doing with the boys these next couple of days. My sister mentioned Knott's Soak City because the boys love that place and it is near our home. Also, we have passes to Sea World. I think we will probably visit Del Mar Fair too. Whatever we do, we hope the time goes by slowly. Joshua doesn't get to see his cousins very much and always says hes moving to Sanger to live with his Nana and Nano so he can be around them more. Going to spend time with his

Happy Father's Day!

Image
I called my dad early this morning and wished him a Happy day! My dad is Richard Joseph Gonzales, he has been a wonderful dad and friend. I admire his courage and the many risk he has taken in his life. I have always been very close to him and I consider myself a daddy's girl! I am so thankful for my dad today and I honor him. If you know any thing about my dad one thing for sure you know is that he is a man's man with a very tender heart. Yes, my dad cries for almost everything. I'm not ashamed to admit that because I think its wonderful to have a dad with so much tenderness. My dad lost his dad at a very young age. He vowed to us that he would be the best dad we could ever have. Yes, dad you are the BEST! Better than all the rest! I remember moving here to San Diego, just dad and I came first and settled in and then mom came afterwards. We both got a job at Wal-Mart and all the coworkers loved dad. He always puts smiles on faces and was a joy to work with. He didn't s

Ron Paul, Hope for America!

Image
Last night when I went to a major news site and I read one of the captions that said, "Ron Paul has quit!" My heart sank and I was filled with sadness. Ezra and I have been following him very closely and really liked what he stood for, especially the Constitution and Love for America! I went to his site and read his thank you note posted above. I will continue following him and the activities he has planned for September. Ron Paul was my choice for President 2008. What to do now? Undecided! BTW, if you would like to read his thank you note with out having to squint, please go to http://www.ronpaul2008.com/ Also, I posted an email sent to us by Congressman, Ron Paul. Friday, June 13, 2008 - Over the past 17 months you and I delivered a message of freedom, the likes of which American politics has not seen in decades. With the primary season now over, the presidential campaign has come to an end. But the Revolution has only begun. Today I am happy to announce the official laun

They Got It!

Yahoo! I got a wonderful report from my beautiful mom today! A couple that my dad has been witnessing to got the HOLY GHOST!!! He is real and ready to feel the hungry and thirsty souls. Mom said, "Andrew and I shouted in the front of the chuch and we rejoiced!" My heart rejocied with hers and I was extremely happy for the church at Faith Tabernacle. It is a Home Missions church in the city of Sanger, CA. I was born and raised there but I got delivered from that place! Just kidding. Well kind of! I have wonderful memories of the little town and I can remember when McDonald's came to town. The population at the time was about 13,000. I believe the population has over 25,000 now. The town has a high crime rate. The gang activity there is very bad. My mom was raised there and my dad moved from Los Angeles as a teenager and met my mom and fell in love with her and had 6 kids. 5 of us are still living. 6 kids what in the world was she thinking? Mom says, "We didn't thi

Time! I don't have enough of it!

When do we go on VACATION!? With 44 jobs this week, bible study, cooking, cleaning, and all the other duties I have I am so ready for a vacation. I felt my eye twitching today at a Sunday School promotion that my brother Michael had at his church. Usually when that happens its because I'm not getting enough rest. I got a DBA (doing business as) last Friday and I think my boss got gung ho and sent me 19 jobs to do it ONE day. Pure Insanity! Not only do I have to run them I have to come home and do inputs on the Internet. Working is so overrated! I do enjoy the paychecks though. However, this is suppose to be a part-time job and is quickly turning into full time job. So I said all that to say. I need my EZRA TIME! He is absolutely the love of my life and I enjoy our time and talks together. I can talk to him for hours but this week seemed like it came and went and we didn't get to spend as much time with each other as I would of loved. We will be going out of town for our 10Th An

Are you Martha or Maxine?

*Martha's Way* Stuff a miniature marshmallow in the bottom of an ice cream cone to prevent ice cream drips. *Maxine's Way * Just suck the ice cream out of the bottom of the cone, for Pete's sake! You are probably lying on the couch with your feet up eating it, anyway! *Martha's Way* To keep potatoes from budding, place an apple in the bag with the potatoes. *Maxine's Way * Buy Hungry Jack mashed potato mix.Keeps in the pantry for up to a year. *Martha's Way* When a cake recipe calls for flouring the baking pan, use a bit of the dry cake mix instead and there won't be any white mess on the outside of the cake. *Maxine's Way * Go to the bakery! They'll even decorate it for you. *Martha's Way* If you accidentally over salt a dish while it's still cooking, drop in a peeled potato and it will absorb the excess salt for an instant 'fix-me-up.' *Maxine's Way * If you over salt a dish while you are cooking, that's too bad. Guitar Solo

Image
On Mother's Day Joshua did his very first guitar solo. The songs he played for the Sunday School class were, He's got the whole world in His Hands and One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism. Ezra asked Josh if he would play for Mother's Day and Josh agreed to do it. We weren't sure if he would actually do it because he tends to by shy sometimes and is very hard on himself if he makes a mistake. Some of the children don't always get to church on time, but I go ahead and start because of the time constraints we have from renting the chapel. Josh had already played his solo but as soon as the other children arrived he jumped out of his seat and wanted to play it agian for them. He also sang as he played! Jason his teacher was very pleased because he says, it is not easy to play and sing at the same time. Jason is an excellent guitar teacher. He is very patient and loves to teach. He teaches at a local high school nearby. He says Josh seems to be picking it up very quick. Un

Sometimes....

Image
My mom gave me this poem several years ago and I've held onto it ever since. Every once in awhile I go back to it and read it or I'll share it with someone that needs to know that we all have a "Sometimes" in our life. A couple of months ago a wonderful friend of mine named Annie died of pneumonia. She was only 37 years old and so full of life. My heart was broken and I was so sad because I won't be able to hear her beautiful voice again. I loved it when we talked and she would say, "Do you want to hear what my God has done for me today." She would tell me of financial blessings the Lord had done for her family and other specific prayers that the Lord had answered. One right after another the stories kept coming. They were wonderful stories and really lifted my faith. I remember talking to her one time and saying, "It really sounds like you have the Lord's attention can you please help me pray for this and that." She said, "Yes, I will
